CAT tools

Exact, cited matches in your own CAT tool.

The Pauhu® CAT connector brings the European translation memory and term base into Trados, MemoQ, and OmegaT through the exchange formats your tool already speaks: TMX, XLIFF, and TBX. Every match it fills is exact and carries its European source. Every segment beyond an exact match stays honestly open for your tool's fuzzy matching and your translator's judgement.

What it does

The exact layer, in standard files.

Pauhu® is the exact layer of your translation workflow. The connector queries the up-to-date European translation memory and term base, fills the segments that match exactly, and writes the source of each match into the file in your tool's own provenance fields. Standard exchange formats, served live, with the memory kept at origin. Your tool keeps doing what it is best at: fuzzy matching, quality checks, and the translator's final word.

Exact term matches

Terminology from the European institutional term base, filled only when the term covers the whole segment and the entry is graded reliable, with the term's origin written into the file.

Exact aligned passages

Sentences that already exist in the European translation memory, human-translated at the source, filled with the publication they come from.

Standard exchange formats

TMX for translation memory, XLIFF for jobs, TBX for terminology. File-based exchange, so it fits regulated and restricted environments; the only network call is the lookup itself.

Workflow

Export, fill, re-import.

Three steps, inside the workflow you already run.

1. Export

In Trados, MemoQ, or OmegaT, export the untranslated job as TMX or XLIFF, the same exchange files your tool already produces.

2. Fill

The Pauhu bridge fills every segment that has an exact, cited match in the European translation memory or term base, and writes the source of each match into the file. Everything else stays open.

3. Re-import

Load the file back into your CAT tool. The exact rows arrive already translated and sourced; your tool fuzzy-matches the open segments and your translator decides, as always.

The promise

Exact, or honestly open.

Pauhu® fills a segment only when an exact, cited match exists; everything beyond that stays open in the file, marked for translation. That open segment is the contract: your tool's fuzzy matches to score and your translator's calls to make. The exact rows you receive carry their European source, so a reviewer can verify any of them at the origin.

Your text stays yours. The translation memory and term base are read-only and kept current as Europe publishes, so the source of truth stays exactly as published and your confidential text stays on your side.

What does IATE say?

Ask the term base: an exact term with its reliability grade and origin, or an honest gap.
